ALL REGISTRATIONS FROM 21 MAY 2027 ONWARDS WILL BE FOR ATTENDANCE ONLY.
When selecting the registration fee for STUDENTS/RETIRED/UNEMPLOYED PARTICIPANTS or if you are a member of ASAEE, APA or ABA, you must provide evidence of your status BEFORE making payment. The supporting documentation required in each case is listed below.
The STUDENT fee is available only to the first 300 registered students. The professional fee will apply thereafter.
All registration requests received from 7 MAY 2027 onwards will be subject to the full fee, without exception.
Types of registration
AIBR MEMBERS
Your annual membership payment must be up to date to qualify for the Congress fee for members of AIBR. You can check your membership status or recover your login details here. You do not need to submit supporting documentation of your membership of AIBR.
STUDENTS
You must attach official proof that you are undertaking university studies (a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree) during 2027, such as confirmation of enrolment or a scanned receipt for tuition payment for the 2026-2027 academic year bearing the institution’s stamp. Screenshots will not be accepted.
ASAEE MEMBERS
Anyone who can prove membership of an association belonging to ASAEE may benefit from the same reduced fee as members of AIBR. To prove this, you must upload to your participant area a certificate issued by your association’s secretariat, with a current date, confirming your membership and that your fees are up to date. No other type of document will be accepted.
MEMBERS OF THE PORTUGUESE ANTHROPOLOGY ASSOCIATION (APA) OR THE BRAZILIAN ANTHROPOLOGY ASSOCIATION (ABA).
Anyone who can prove membership of APA or ABA will benefit from the same reduced fee as members of AIBR. To prove this, you must attach a certificate confirming that your membership fees are up to date, issued by the secretariat of the Associação Portuguesa de Antropologia or the Associação Brasileira de Antropologia, respectively. No other type of document will be accepted.
UNEMPLOYED OR RETIRED PARTICIPANTS
A reduced registration fee is available to anyone who can prove that they are unemployed or retired at the time of registration. You must submit official documentation from your country of residence (see the guidelines and FAQ). Screenshots or documents obtained through your jobseeker account will not be accepted as supporting evidence. Only documentation issued by the relevant institution, with a current date, will be accepted.
POSTDOCTORAL EMPLOYEES
Postdoctoral employees are not considered students for the purpose of reduced fees.
REMEMBER: If you have an ACCEPTED PROPOSAL and do not complete your registration by the stated deadline, your proposal will be removed from the Programme.
NOTE: Your registration will only be complete once all required documentation has been submitted and payment has been made. After registering, if you wish to cancel, you will receive a refund of 60% of the amount paid if you cancel by 20 MAY 2027 (inclusive). From 21 MAY 2027 onwards, no refunds will be given.
